I need help figuring out what kind of amp I need for my speakers (Dj gear, not car stuff)?
-
I have two speakers: They EACH have 175 watts RMS and 700 watts peak. They EACH have 8 ohms. What amp do I need? I called several places and they said 400 watt. But I also called other places that told me to double my RMS and and get a 1000 max amp. What am I suppose to get!? If you must know, their 15" Gemini GT1504

Answer:
I wouldn't drive those speakers with any amp over 150 watts RMS. That's just me, but I wouldn't trust that they will take the power, 150 might be over the top for those.
