How long does it take to receive a fax?

Looking for a simple to use fax machine for a non-technical user?

• I am looking for a VERY simple to use fax machine for a VERY non-technical user. Most units are easy enough to connect - a phone line and a power cord. Operation is usually pretty straightforward, but my main concern is the ink/toner/?. It has to be very easy to change - like take something out of a box, open a hatch, pull this thing out, put the new one in. But, it has to be REALLY obvious, not just easy for us technical folk. Any suggestions? I was thinking plain paper fax by the way. Oh, and we unfortunately eliminated the use of a computer as this person can not use the keyboard - possibly vision issues and for several other reasons. That's why we want a simple to use / easy to maintain fax so she can receive, review and send back documents. The office will use an e-faxing service to print/email documents to her and they will receive them back electronically (email most likely).

  The Philips Magic3 or Magic5 are both simple and easy to use and to change the ink film that they use but the consumable ink film cartridges are expensive. There's no way round it as the film cartridges come with a smart card that detects use.
