Why do I have green static on my tv when playing a dvd?

Why is it when I try to connect my blueray w/ HDMI cable to my plasma TV, the program stops playing the DVD?

  • I have a Sony Vaio Laptop which has a Blue-ray dvd player. I can watch the Blue-ray dvd on the computer, but when I connect the Plasma Tv to my laptop with a HDMI cable, the program automatically stops and does not play the Dvd anymore! I don't have this problem with regular dvds. I can play regular dvds on my laptop and connect it with the same HDMI cable to my plasma and it shows the picture on my plasma tv. Can someone help me figure out what is the problem? I use Windvd to play my blue-ray. Thank you guys in advance for any advice you could give me.

  • Answer:

Use some other program, they all play blueray. Powerdvd.
