Why does my app turns off by itself in my iphone 4?

Why hasn't anybody made an app that turns your iphone into an optical mouse?

I just started think about this the other day and i was wishing there was an app for the iphone that lets you use your phone as a wireless mouse...I understand that it would be kinda laggy with the camera running the whole time the app is running or the camera just might not be fast enough, but has any devolpers at least tried this? Thanks--Feel free to share your ideas!!

The main problem is how the phone will send the data to the mouse port on the PC; through USB? Optical mice also send a beam, while a camera is passive, and with no light, the phone camera will constantly see a "black" surface.
