When I switch from a non hd channel to a hd channel I lose sound.?
-
I bought a brand new LG tv (LW6500) and have it hooked up through an hdmi cord to my cable box which is a scientific atlanta Explorer 8240HDC. When I try switching from a non hd channel to a hd channel I lose sound. On the settings for the box I have audio out as hdmi. I had a time warner guy come over and replace the cable box which did not work. I also brought back the tv and got a new one which also did not work and I have also tried using a different hdmi cable. When I connect the tv to the cable box through hd component cables I do not have this problem. Does anybody know if there is additional settings on the cable box that may fix this issue? Any other suggestions would sure help also. Thanks.
