How do I make my video player record from my video camera so it's a surveillance camera? Somebody tryed to break in to my place last night and didn't hear them and didn't see them, so I want to plug my video camera into my tv and have my video player record thefootagee over night. I press record on my video player and nothing but static happens when its recording. So how do I make my video camera record to my video tape. My Video Player is a LG AC250W My Video Camera is a LP Digital Hand Held Video Camera. My TV is a Palsonic. I can use my SD card but it will only last about 3 n half hours. I only want to use my own cam until I buy surveillance cams. HELP!!

You need to connect the camera to power, and A/V from it to the line in on your video recroder, and select that input and record.
