Which Dazzle DVD recorder is better?

• I've got the Dazzle DVD Recorder 100. Y Splitters ( 2 Female, 1 Male ) Component Cables you get with your Xbox. Phono Lead The best I've got up to now is Black and white showing up on the Dazzle in standard definition on TV. Is there any way I can play my Xbox in HD while using the Dazzle DVD recorder 100 ? If anyone could tell me this, or give me a guide on what to do, I would be very grateful indeed, please.

  Dazzle DVC-100 cannot be used for HD. It's standard-def only. 720 x 480 (actually, 640 x 480, but they say 720 because it uses rectangular, rather than square, pixels). If you're trying to use Component cables (G, R-Y, B-Y), then again, it will not work. You will only get black and white. Dazzle uses composite video (the yellow connector in a yellow, red, white system, where red & white are audio). Any Y splitters are to be used for audio function only. Using Y adapters for video screws up the more complex video parameters for undesired results.
