Will my hair dryer work? voltage?

As long as its 100 to 240 you should be able to use it anywhere. You just need the adapter to make sure its the right socket shape. Also pay attention to wher you are pluging it in some sockets can not handle the 2000W...which it really is just that breaker can not handle it. if you in a house or apartment you should be fine using it in the bathroom.

See if your drier has a 120/240 switch. If it does, set it to 120 for USA and to 240 for Europe. If it doesn't then it will not heat up enough in the USA. The other way around, if you use a USA designed drier in Europe, you'll burn it. Because driers use so much power, a step-up/step-down transformer is impractical. Just buy two driers, one for USA and another for Europe. They are inexpensive.
