'Charging is not supported with this accessory', What do I do?

Okay so, I have an iPod touch4 8gb, I haven't used it in like a month or so and now whenever I plug the device in my PC it says, 'Charging is not supported with this acessory!' What do I do? Anyway to fix this?

Answer:
I have the same problem with my iPhone, and I've only had it since Xmas just gone. Try turning it off and on again, which should work for a couple of hours (or less) or reset settings. If all else fails, restore factory settings?? Oxoxox
