My vga cable isn't working?
-
I have an HP compaq laptop and an HDTV. I connected them with a vga cable and turned to the vga channel, but no image is coming through. My laptop recognizes the connection and asked me how I would like the picture to be displayed on my HPTV, but my TV says unusable signal.

Answer:
Courtney - Go to the control panel and find the display settings. You will need to lower the resolution of the laptop to 1024x768 - that probably will work. The problem is that the laptop is putting out too high a resolution for the TV and the TV can't read it. You need to lower the resolution of the laptop to fix this.
