How big would self sufficient system be?

Self sufficient mobile home CB/AM/FM Radio and weather Radar system set up.?

• I'm looking for where I can get legally CB Radio equipment, AM/FM Transmitter Equipment, and Weather Radar/Telemetry equipment. I'm building a Mobile home from scratch and would like to make it as self sufficient as can be, as well as to host a radio show from the location I'm looking to stick around.

  The weather radar is so you can see the tornado coming that will suck up your trailer? Not sure where you are located, but weather radar for the US is available on the internet for free from NOAA. Broadcast radio licenses are for fixed locations not mobiles, your tower and antennas will be licensed for a specific ground location and moving beyond 50 feet usually requires prior permission and a re-authorization. Because minimum power is required for broadcast services, you will need a tower of sufficient height to not endanger people on the ground from radiation danger, so it will be a permanent structure, not a pop-up mast. CB is low power and intended to serve mobile operators, so that is no problem. The only practical way for you to be a radio host would be as an internet channel, not over-air although an existing over-air broadcaster might pickup your program. Mobile internet is rarely robust enough to support VoIP let alone full-time streaming audio. Satellite service won't be any better, they don't have enough uplink bandwidth to even support VoIP. If you intend to be a self-sufficient survivalist, you are going to have to leave the trappings of the modern connected world behind.
