Is Amazon Kindle worth the money?

Can i return a kindle if it was a prize and still get my money from amazon?

• so i got this kindle as a prize, it came in a package and everything, but i got curious and opened it. i haven't taken off the plastic from the screen, but have signed into amazon and now it recognizes me by my name. i've searched the kindle itself, and the web to see how much it can actually do, but i haven't even used it a day. so can i somehow ( i have no receipt, since it was a prize from a place that i will likely never return to until the following year) get a refund because, although i do like it, i might get something more useful instead. however, if i do decide to keep it (which, since i've searched around, that probability is likely to happen) i would still like to know whether i can do something in case there is ever anything else i would like to return that might also have been a price/gift with no receipt. p.s. if i ever do return such things, would the person/company who bought it know that i returned to get money instead? i mean if the person/company was nice, it seems like i'm doing them wrong by returning it, but that still doesn't stop me from wanting to :).

  Im pretty sure it is totally fine! you dont need a receipt if you plan on selling it on amazon.com, but I suggest Ebay to get more buyers, because people would wrather buy a new one, and there are thousands of new ones on amazon, but ebay users would buy whatever they can get. Just find out whick Kindle you have, see the price, and subtract like twenty dollars. you should get the money perfectly fine and its not wrong at all (:
