How do I transfer VHS videos to DVD?

My cousin just passed away and one of my other cousins is making a video of pics/videos of his life. We have some home videos with him in it to give to her but they are in VHS. Is there a way to transfer them to DVD? Please help. I need to do this as soon as possible

I'm sorry about your cousin. Yes there is a way to transfer VHS to DVD but it isn't cost effective for you to try and do it yourself. It would mean having to buy equipment and/or software. You also don't want to risk damaging or accidentally erasing the VHS tapes. Your best bet is gonna be to have it done professionally. Gather all the videos and find a company in your area that specializes in video editing or video format transfers.They have the professional(VERY EXPENSIVE) editing VCRs, video mixers, DVD recorders, etc. needed for this type of work. I used to work at a company that did format transfers. Good luck.
