Living expenses ct. new london county area?

  • wondering how much average electric bills are a month.and how much average oil bills are a month.and if there is anyway to find a 3 bedroom home for around 800.00 give or take.this would be in new london county.ct.

    You won't find a studio apartment for 800. Utilities would be another 300. If renting a house you also pay heat, water, sewer, trash, lawn maintenance and renter's insurance. The total would be close to 2k a month

$800 is doable in the area, more so if you're in New London or Groton or even out towards Willimantic area (just out of NL county, but not too far really). But if you're looking to stay around the casinos, you're looking at about 1k a month or more for a 3 bdrm.. Oil can cost on the low side about 1k a year upwards to 3k depending on what the oil is used for, if it's just heat, it's not bad cause you're only using and filling it during the cold months, it would (or should) be around 1k for the winter season. But if it's oil heat and oil hot water, expect to pay around 2500 - 3000 a year... Depends on the size of your place and your family too though.
