How To Unlock QR Code By Online?

QR code tracker? bad/good idea? See website URL first....?

• I am just starting in real estate. I was hired by a well known firm and went through training for a month. One of the things we were told is that QR codes could be tracked using "Google's URL shortner." There is a whole video on our training page of how to do it. Basically, you paste your url in to google (url shortener), it gives you a shorter address and that is the one you use to create a QR code. What are your thoughts on this? I think it is a bit sneaky to get someone's info by QR code. Also, when I scan any QR code it shows the url to the website. So, rather than show my website url, it would show the google shortened url.

  Hello Jamie, There is nothing "sneaky" about tracking your marketing campaigns. You won't be getting anyone's info from a QR Code. All you will be getting is a time stamp, a carrier, what kind of OS they used (Android, Blackberry, Apple) and that's it pretty much it. This is used to track visits, page views, and conversions (if you have like a Contact Us page it can be set to track how many visitors submitted the form). There is no personal information collected from scanning a QR Code unless they give it to you on your landing page.
