ive asked family and friends to be a guarantor but noone can, so how else can i rent a flat if i have bad credit? can i offer a refrence to the estate agents? ect..

Answer:
the only way round this is to sign up for a six month lease and pay the six months rent in advance. That way you can't be evicted and the landlord knows he will get his money. At the end of the six months you've built up some history and can start paying monthly.

If you are able to put up a hefty deposit (probably three months rent) that might do the trick, but it'll be very difficult.
have you tried the council?
I'm afraid you're in for a hard time..you need to save up as much money as possible ,improve you're credit score and then approach estate letting agents.
