I cannot pay for my ebay item.

Can I pay for an item through ebay using a different email than the one registered on paypal?

I have won an item on ebay, i didnt have enough funds in my paypal account to pay for it, so when i clicked pay now on ebay, i entered my dad's paypal account details to pay for the item. which means that the paypal account email and the ebay email dont match. and now the payment status in paypal show's as "unclaimed" for some odd reason. we have the seller's mobile number and he said that he doesnt have an option to claim it. is it possible to pay with unmatching email addresses? is that is what's causing the problem?

I do - I have an email address I use for e-Bay but I have a different one registered with Pay Pal to make payments with. The difference probably is that I have registered the second e-mail address. I have never had a problem until recently when Pay Pal is now saying I have exceeded my monthly allowance whatever that is!
