Opening a savings account at Bank Atlantic and savings bonds?
-
Ok, so I need to open a savings account at Bank Atlantic. Problem is, I'm not 18 yet and I cannot involve my mom. I'm not going to go into detail, but I can assure you that I'm not doing anything illegal and it is, in fact, my money that I want to put in my account. So that's my first question-- can I open an account as a minor without parental consent? Second, how do I go about putting my savings bonds in the bank account? Are there any special requirements for me to put them in the account? Thanks in advance.. :)

Answer:
No. They will request the signature of an adult if you're under 18. That's the law.
