Is a provisional worker a contract or permanent worker?

Can I still decorate my cubicle even if I am a contract worker?

  • I want to decorate my cubicle. But would it send a message that I want to become permanent? I have a bunch of stuff in my mind that I want to put up on the wall. Would it be ok to put them up ? OR what's the statute of limitations on cubicle decorations being a contract worker vs permanent worker? Thanks..

  • Answer:

I would not do this. Work, and be thankful that you have a job. It could be gone tomorrow in this economy

do what you want, just because you decorate doesn't mean you want to be permanent. It means you want to bring a little of home to work so that you are more comfortable and happy.

I don't think you need to be worrying about decorating a cubicle, you should be worrying about where this economy is going and where you'll be in the near future. be glad that you have that job.

Might be best to ask your supervisor if you are in doubt, but you still do work there so I cant see why not. It would be a pain though if you share the cubicle with someone else when you are not there and they take it all down again. I wouldnt go overboard, and I certainly wouldnt fuss with it in company time, make sure you get there a bit early to decorate it if they say it is ok.
