Where can I get loan?

Where can I get a small loan to pay off medical bills - Can't use banks?

  • Here's the story: When I was 18, I was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma; a very aggressive bone cancer. I've never done drugs; the cancer is caused by some sort of chromosome mutation (from what I understood). My treatment was very strong and I was very sick. My insurance company dropped me after 2 months of treatment and left me with the rest of the bills. By God's grace, some charities came to my aid and paid off a lot of the bills as well as helped my mom with her mortgage since she couldn't work in order to take care of me. I still have about $4000 worth of bills that are now in collections and they have ruined my credit so I can't get a bank loan. I just got a call from an attorney's office the other day saying they were contacted by a medical provider because a medical bill has been in collections for years. Funny thing is, I was never getting that bill because they were sending it to an address that I haven't live in since 2007. I was wondering if there is somewhere I can get a small loan to pay off these bills and be left with 1 place to pay instead of about 5 hospitals/offices/etc. I heard of a site where you can get personal loans from real people but I can't remember the name. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Thank you so much for your time and generosity.

zopa.com Or you could locate your nearest credit union and become a member. You need to save for some weeks before you can apply for a loan, but as a regular saver you are virtually assured one. The rate of interest is likely to be better than the bank, they don't charge other fees, and they won't bleed you dry. Credit union has been of huge benefit to countless people, including me. Find yours, and ask them about all the benefits of membership.
