How much will my credit go up?

How much will my credit score go down?

  • I got my first collection notice for overdue library books. To make a long story short, I took every single book back to the library and only owe $60.00. But the collection agency says I owe $311.96. So I plan on sending them a letter asking for proof from the agency that I owe that much (311) and will send my proof stating that all my fees are paid off (60). Since I was given 30 days to do this, I will try my best hope to stop them. I just checked my credit report and they don't show up anywhere, which tells me I wasn't effected yet. MY QUESTION NOW IS HOW MUCH WILL MY CREDIT SCORE GO DOWN. ALL 3 SCORES RANGE FROM 715 to 740. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW MUCH THIS LIBRARY COLLECTION AGENCY WILL EFFECT MY SCORES???THANK YOU SO MCUH IF ANYONE KNOWS

  • Answer:

Just be thankful they didn't send Mr. Bookman after you.
