Can I use the "cash back" option to get money for a gift card I don't want?

And even if it did work how you'd like it to, no, they wouldn't let you do so - they want you to keep coming back and eat their food, or forget about it and let the balance get eaten up by fees. Secondly: A quick web search reveals a number of sites that will buy your gift card from you - at a discount, of course, but it's better than nothing. Try searching for "buy my gift card"

No, probably not. Places rarely do that because they want you to spend the full amount at their store or restaurant. Either give the cards to a friend if you really won't use them or just go out to eat for fun and try some places that you don't normally go to. I know you can use the cards for a tip too but no matter what they aren't going to give you cash. Maybe you know someone who goes to the places that you have cards for and they would be willing to give you cash for them?
