Where Is My Paycheck?

Please help!! Where can I cash my paycheck!?

  • ok so right now I am in a big pickle. I cannot cash my paycheck at my bank because I don't have one. I also don't have any forms of a picture ID. No liscense or state ID. I don't really have any friends I could sign it over to either. Can you even sign over paychecks anyway? Anyway, what should I do!!??

    ~~You aren't going to be able to cash it unless you get at least a State ID card. All adults must have one picture ID (drivers license or state issued ID card always on them in public anyway, it's the law.~~

Try asking your employer to cash the check this time. They obviously can verify your identity and ought to know the check is good. Get a photo ID for future use. Good luck!

To add to the other answers, these days you cannot open a bank account without proof of your identity. Banks are held accountable for making sure they've got all your info (identity, tax id), before opening your account.

No picture ID, no cashing of this check. Why? How on earth are they to know it is really you or if you stole someones mail? You should get a government issued picture ID.

Maybe you could open a savings account and use that to cash the paycheck. You can sign over checks if you have someone who will cash it for you. Maybe one of your coworkers will do it for you. Sometimes if the place where you work has a cashier they will cash the check for you. But look into getting an ID - there's a lot you won't be able to do without one.
