How do I add money in my PSN card?

Do I need to add money to my debit card before paypal will add it?

• I tried adding my debit card to paypal,but it keeps saying that its being denied. do i need to add money to the debit card before paypal will accept it? I was going to add money to it tomorrow, but i wanted to be sure i could use it before i added money to it. Thanks for all answers. I know it may sound stupid, but i'm new to the whole credit/debit card world.

  You can't add money to your debit card, you just need to make sure there's enough money in your bank account to cover what you spend with the card. Have you set up your Paypal account correctly? What happens is that in order to verify that you're account is genuine they make two or three very small payments to your bank account after a few days and you then have to log back into the Paypal site to confirm the amounts. This then makes your account live. Have you done this? If not the site will tell you how. Or are you just entering your debit card number as opposed to the account number that the money will come from?
