How can I make money? I'm a teenager?

  • I'm seventeen, and I'm going on a trip to New York this summer, and I would like to get some shopping money for that trip. I would also love to get an iPad or maybe some sort of eReader while I'm up there; it would be like the ultimate souvenir :) However, I'm very broke. I don't want to keep asking my parents for money, because I want to be able to say that I paid for the trip myself. I've cut out extra shopping, going to the cinema/out for lunch etc., and I'm trying to sell some of my own artwork (decorated shirts) and my old books, but no one is really buying. Do you have any idea of how I can make some money? I'm not old enough to have an eBay account, and my parents are not really interested in making accounts either. Please help! Thanks!
