I need advice for IRA Account?

  • All my (once) high performed International Funds like (JAOSX) Janus Overseas, in loss -50% !! I want to invest in more conservative IRA, at least will not loose so rapidly for next 5 years. I am looking at (PRULX) U.S. Treas Long-Term at T.Rowe Price. Would it be a good investment for next 5 years?? Pl. suggest me some fund with Institution name and Fund code, if you can. I will appreciate.

You still need to be diversified. Don't put ALL of it into any one fund. Long-term treasuries have been on fire lately but that could easily change. How about some into equity-income (dividend-paying stocks) and some into cash?

I like how you are thinking about switching to something more stable. The market is going to be VERY messy for the next 9 months. I have a stable value fund - just look for what has lost the least in the last 6 months. I also LOVE cd's. Pretty sad how they are paying 4.25% for 5 year cd's at best. Search for callable cd's - they are often higher paying. /
