How much money should I make as a personal assistant?

• They will be paying for my room/food/tv/etc. But how much should I ask for as far as salary? I'd would be taking care of all their computer things (photo organizing, emails, appointments, etc), and taking their kids to their various appointments. We don't think we'll have solid hours, pretty much asking for things when they need them. How much should I ask for per week? Per month?

  First you need to figure out exactly how many hours you'll be actually doing stuff for them - then you need to charge at least 10.00 per hour per day - so maybe your actually working only 3.5 hours per day - so that works out x 7 days - 24.5 hours - so $245.00 per week! Good Luck! Under no circumstances do this for less than $175.00 per week - otherwise you are "slave". By the way - the free room and board is not CONSIDERED as WAGES, but merely an arrangement to facilitate your interaction with the persons (wards) that you will be assisting.
