How do I add a new stock to an existing portfolio?

How do I add a stock purchase to my portfolio?

• I tried to add a new amount of a purchase to a stock I already own, but after hitting save ,it went back to the original shares.

• Answer:

  Open the portfolio. Click on "view transactions". At the extreme right of the display of stocks, click on "create transaction". I think there is an option of buy/sell/add shares. Enter the info, scroll down and click "save". That should work. I also think you have to close the window, exit Yahoo Finance completely, then open it again.
