If the one month deadline has passed, the post office will tell you to ask the JobCentre to reissue the cheque

you need to take the id of the owner to cash it in. return it to the local jobcentre, if you cash it in you can get done for fraud. (and yes theyre gona know its you, you have to hand over your own id to get it) or is it in your name? if so, try it, but I doubt youll get any money.

Might be worth trying to pay it into a bank account but the cashier or clearing centre might notice the date refuse it. But you should be able to return it to the job centre and get them to re-issue. Might take a little while.

well, if it is in your name then i dont see why not> they paid tax on it and it was ment for you, if you did cash it but didnt spend the money would they ask for it back?>

"It says on the back cash this cheque within one month or you may lose money" Says it all depending on the date on it.
