Can I make free deposits to a bank account online using a debit card?

• I'm a college student and I have a Wachovia debit card that my dad puts money onto every week. The problem is there are no Wachovias near my college and I get charged fees for withdrawing so I want to get a Chase account. I only want to keep $20 or $40 at a time in the chase account so I can withdraw 20s when I need to and keep using the wachovia card for debit purchases. Would I be able to make deposits to my Chase account online straight from my Wachovia debit card? Would there be any fees? How long would the money take to transfer?

  no there will be a fee. I would try to use the debit card as much as you can. you need very little cash these days. if you can write checks from wachovia account, you can deposit a check into the other account to use.
