What foreign country banks have deposit insurance similar to FDIC?
-
If I deposit money into a foreign owned bank, such as HSBC (UK) or DBS (Singapore) is there any insurance guarantee on my deposit provided by the foreign bank or the country agency, similar to the USA FDIC? What specific banks and what countries provide insurance? Note: I do NOT mean foreign branches of American banks.

Answer:
No, they do not have the same regulation as the FDIC
