What was the mega million for today?

If you won the lottery with more than $1 Million cash today, what would you personally do with it?

  • If you won the lottery with more than $1 Million cash today, what would you personally do with it? You may have been asked this question before, but I would like to know what other people would or at least think they would do with the money. Me personally: I am a 15 year old male who wants to get a business degree after I graduate. If I was to win this money, this is what I would do: 1) Pay off my mom's car, house, and any other debt. 2) Buy myself a car. 3) Spread the rest of my money out within different banks' CDs to save up for the future. A lot of people who win the lottery, end up filing for bankruptcy in the end. Real good question. Being a 13 year old girl, I would probably do what we do... Go shopping! BUT! Im better than that. I would pay anything that needs to be paid for my parents. Whatever is left over, I would put maybe about half in the bank for later. Than, I would take my family out for a wonderful dinner somewhere fancy. If I could, I would also move into a new, bigger house with my family, so we could be happier as a family. Then comes the shopping! To the mall! Also, I always wanted to be an actress, but didn't no how to start. I would probably some how reel myself into something so my life would be as an actress. Great question by the way. Stare at it in shock with my mouth hanging open with drool dribbling down my lower lip. Take a taxi to work in the morning. Hire a limo for the commute home. Quit work the next day. Stare at the money again--with my mouth closed. Change my phone numbers in case friends and relatives decide to "get in touch" all of a sudden.

go to work late and then leave early!

pay off the mortgage, take a nice vacation, put some in a retirement account, some in college savings accounts, do some work on the house (new kitchen, new bathroom, new roof), spread some around to my family members, save the rest. Honestly, one million wouldn't be life changing in a huge major way...its not like you could go live in Beverly Hills for very long on that...(especially considering how much of it would go to taxes right off the top)

If I won over a million I would move house to somewhere so my kids could have their own rooms, possibly buy a new car and then drop a few hours work per week. It would be lovely to be able to help out friends or family who needed money, though it would be fun to never tell them I had the money and just get it to them without them knowing where it came from. I think the problem with people who win money and then go bankrupt is they let it change their lives so much, they give up their jobs and buy expensive things, but forget this is a one off lump sum of money which will run out pretty fast if you don't take care of it. Sounds to me like you have the right idea and if you do win, never give up your dreams and hopes for the future... can you imagine how dull your life would be if you have nothing to aim for ?!
