What is better a electric key meter or quartely payments?

My electric meter has apparently frozen and eon are trying to make me backdate payments?

• they have admitted that they have sent out operatives and missed this on several occasions over the last two years ive asked them how much i owe and they don't have a figure as they don't know they want to install another meter and base what i owe on what i use now witch all seems a bit to vague to me this installation will be another month if i wanted to change company's because of this farce where would i stand legally as they don't at the moment actually have a figure of what i owe

  If you used electricity and didn't get billed for it, they have a right to fix the meter and bill you for past use based on present use. Why do you think you can use electricity and not pay for it. If you had called and reported the defective meter when you realized you were getting "free" electric, that would have solved the problem. You will have to pay for past use, no way to avoid it. The only farce is the one you perpetrated upon the electric company by knowing you were not getting billed.
