Has anyone ever heard of Choice Mail?

Has anyone ever heard of first choice lending?

  • They are supposed to be located at 2000 Town Center Suite 1108 Southfield MI 48075. They sent me an e-mail saying I was pre-approved for a loan and need a copy of my SS card, DL & pay stub. Their number is 800-375-1773. Any thoughts?

  • Answer:

I wouldn't do it, unless you go there in person, or check them out through the Better Business Bereau. I am going through something similiar, except mine is overseas. So if you gut feeing is giving you bad vibes, I'd stick with your instinct. It's hard trying to get something back once it's already been taken from you.

This is a fraudulent group of people stealing money from innocent folks across state lines. I am currently reporting them to the FBI, I highly recommend that folks with imperfect credit deal with a well known finance company in their home town.

It's a scam. First they will ask for all this stuff to sound like a legitimate lender (this is often enough to also steal your identity), but then they will come back and ask you to wire fees and security deposits to them via Western Union. (The scam is that you never get the loan) They give the Town Center address to sound legit and change their name often, but they are scammers living in Canada. Probably Nigerians who think it's hilariously funny that they can rip off Americans so easily. (This is a Billion Dollar a year problem.)
