Where in Boston can I buy stock in person?
-
I live in the Boston Metro area and would like to buy stock from an actual person ( a stockbroker), not from a website or phone type telecommunications company. I know there are places in the financial district of Boston to do so, but when I do a Google or Yellow Pages search, I keep getting a run around. So if anybody in the Boston Area can refer me to an Address or Phone Number, to a place in where I could buy stock, that would great.

Edward Jones is a good full service broker. Call their main office to find the best local office. Or use this link; https://www.edwardjones.com/en_US/find_financial_advisor/index.html BTW: A trade that may cost $150 from a full service broker would cost less than $10 from an on-line broker.Millions of investors & traders use them every day. If you know what stocks you want, do your own research..... going to a full service broker makes little sense.
You might want to check out any of the retail brokerage shops like a fidelity or schwab. 127 Congress St Fl 01 (between Milk St & Franklin St) Boston, MA 02110 Neighborhood: Financial District (617) 210-7412 www.schwab.com/
Why would you want to pay a stockbroker a few hundred bucks to do exactly the same thing on a computer that you can do yourself?
In the financial district and there several companies to choose from starting with Fidelity Investments. Open an account, deposit the minimum by wire transfer or check and then walk into the branch and talk to a financial representative. Having a rep make a trade is the most expensive way to do it can be 4 or 6 times the cost of an on-line trade via the web.
