How much would I have to pay out of pocket for a blood test with insurance?
-
I am getting blood work done as ordered by my doctor. He is doing a CBC,testing my B-12,my thyroid function, urinalisis, sed rate,ANA. I have CIGNA insurance and I pay a $30 co pay for my doctor visit. I was wondering how much or an estimate on how much I would have to pay at the lab. I am trying to figure up my money to see if I will have enough to pay for the blood work.

Answer:
Look at the coverage terms of your insurance. What percentage does it pay? Then call the lab and find out the charges. They vary from lab to lab.

You don't get a urinalysis from your blood. You'll have to ask the lab what the cash price is - I'm guessing, it's going to be about $150.
