Will my moms insurance go up if i get my license?

  • im 16 and i can get my license in a week. but my mom wont let me get my license until i get a job and i am able to pay for insurance. but i have a few friends who say i can get my license and the insurance wont cost any more. is it possible in the state of indiana to get my license and not have my moms premium go up?

    That's not possible in any state I've ever heard of. Adding a new, inexperienced driver to a policy increases the premiums a LOT. I think your friends are mistaken.
