How long do you have to wait after your first telephone interview?

A second telephone interview notice came in the mail for my Unemployment?

• I already had my telephone interview, for unemployment, which was scheduled on January 25th, 2010. I was approved, and got my first check a week later. I sent off the questionnaire to the Sacramento office, and was waiting for my next check. Today, I just received a second a telephone interview notification letter, scheduled for February 18th..? I thought I didn't have to have another interview. Does anybody know why this might be? I thought I was already approved, and now, I'm gonna have to wait another week to speak to a representative. Was this an error?

  No, it is not an error. EDD does interviews even after a person is approved, often several times. I have an upcoming interview during which I plan to respond to an expected question that begins "Is there any reason that you are not able to complete..." by saying something to the effect of "Yes, EDD keeps scheduling me for telephone interviews at time that conflict with..." The most likely reason for the interview is to ask about one of your answers on the questionaire. If you look at the back of the letter, it tells you what questions to be prepared to answer. That should give you a clue to the reason for the interview.
