Should I take a Semester off College to work a full time job to pay off debt?

I am a full time college student who has over the years, immaturely charged up $6,000 in credit card debt. Im finally out of school for the summer, but during the last semester is was very stressful trying to worry about school and my outstanding debt at the same time. I can honestly say I've spent more time stressing over bills than working on school. It was damn near unbearable. I have 4 credit cards and I've defaulted on 3 of them in the past 2 weeks. Now my payments are close to $100 each. I haven't defaulted on The 4th card but if I do the minimum will be around $200 on that one. I found a full time job but i'll doubt can pay it all off by the end of the summer. But anything less than a full time job won't pay for all these credit card bills along with my other bills such as cell phone, gas etc, and i'll end up destroying my good credit, or whats left of it, (my score is 688) So herein lies my dilemma. Should I take a semester of college off to take care of my debt? or just get a part time job and bare the stress of school and debt and possibly hurt my credit further?

depends if you have student loans, you can take time off but your student loans will automatically go into their "grace period" for 6 months and once your re enroll before you owe money, you lost your grace period so once you get out of school you have to start immediatly paying them. so if you dont have loans i would say yes! thats a good idea.
