How Does PayPal and Bank Accounts work on eBay?

  • Hey World, I'm 15 and would like to have a bank account, I heard you have to be about 18 to open one in USA but here in the UK you can have one from birth, but you don't actually get a card or anything until your 16. The reason I want one is to sell things on eBay and just make money online, I don't want to purchase anything from eBay or anything like that. I just want to sell. And I realise you need a PayPal account? How would that work? You know, I mean how do you get paid on eBay? How does the money go into your bank account for you to take out, is this all linked with PayPal? I have no intention of ever getting a credit card, so I'd rather use eBay through my bank account than Credit Card. I'm kind of new to this and know there's alot of eBay users on here, so I'd love any kind of help. Thank You!

It will ask you to put in your bank information and you basically debit online.. That is what i do. Takes a few business days to clear where as a credit card is almost instant...

first you need link you back to you paypal this takes around 3 working days. This lets you move money from your paypal to you bank and the other way round. But in order to buy stuff you must have a credit card linked to your paypal to. I know you said your not planing in on buying stuff but you have to pay to put up an ad to. I would say you are better using your parents or another site that lets you post free ads. Best of luck m8 ;)
