Ebay Automatic Payment Method - What does it mean exactly?

• When you sign up for the automatic payment option on ebay to pay your seller fees does it mean that as soon as you list something they automatically take the fee? Right that second? Or does it just mean there's a pay now button here now so you can "automatically" pay your fees and it's a lot easier? They charge seller fees on a monthly basis right or is it instant? I'm confused what it means exactly. I changed my method to automatic and now I can't go back and I don't have money in my account. I thought I did but I made a mistake and I'm worried now. =[

  While eBay and Paypal are owned by the same company, they get their money at different times. Paypal collects its money every time you receive it. eBay collects its money monthly. Typically you will get two invoices as the listing fees wil occur in month one and the final value fees in month two. Automatic payment is based on the invoice cycle. If you bill it to Paypal and your Paypal balance is $0 (almost everyone's is $0), then eBay will deduct the money from your default funding source. That means your bank account if you've attached it; the credit card if you haven't. Personally, I have them bill my credit card directly.
