PAYPAL VISA DEBIT CARD CONFIRMATION CODE?

I'm having trouble confirming my New Zealand Visa-Debit card on PayPal. It didn't reject the card and charged the $3 to my account no problem (I can see it on my online banking statement/transactions), but it doesn't show the 4 digit code I need in order to confirm the card next to the $3 charge. All it shows is the date, under 'type' it shows 'visa hold' and under details it's just blank. What should I do, is this normal? Should I contact PayPal or my bank? Thanks.

IT is normal sometimes so technically you have to connect to your bank account
