How to confirm payment on eBay?

My Paypal Payment is on Hold?

• Ok so i listed an item on ebay and a guy messaged me saying that he would make a deal on the item, he gave me an offer and i accepted it so i ended the auction and he paid me, i sent the item out today so it should be with him within a few days! Thing is my Paypal payment he sent me is on hold? Why is it on hold if ebay didnt even know i sold it as we made a deal through messages and i took the item down so it wasnt in my sold items! For all they know the money transferred could have been a job payment that is mine so why is it on hold? They said they would release the payment if "We can confirm that the item was delivered, your buyer leaves positive feedback" he cant leave feedback as the item wasnt sold on ebay, it was sold through messages making a deal! How do i prove the item was delivered? where do i go and what do i say!?

  Unbelievable. People still fall for this? You were scammed. The email you got was fake....and if you had just looked at where it came from you'd have noticed it wasn't Paypal. I bet you sent the item to Nigeria, right? Even if you didn't....you're SOL. Next time pay more attention.
