How do i confirm my debit card with paypal?

Can Paypal take all the money out of Debit Card from Simon if they cannot confirm it?

• I recently got a Visa Simond Gift Debit card from the Simon mall last week. Paypal let's you use debit cards and credit cards, but can Paypal accept this type of card? It says it is a Debit card as well as a gift card? I want to order some Christmas presents for my family off of ebay, and most of the items require Paypal. I am 18 years old, and I don't have a job. Therefore, I don't have a bank account. So I can only register a Paypal account for now. Let's say they say it's an invalid card. Will they take all the money that I have on the card, close my account or make the card unusable in stores? I just don't know how it works. Please let me know. Thank you.

  Paypal can't take any money from you without your permission. If they have then you can file a dispute with the credit card company to have the money charged back to Paypal. If you've given them a card that doesn't work you shouldn't be able to add it to your Paypal account. If you have and then you spent all the money on the card you shouldn't be able to use the card to make purchases via Paypal. If you've won an auction and have no way of paying for it, then you could very well lose your eBay and/or Paypal accounts when the seller complains.
