Letter sent to the old address, what happens to it?

Has anyone recently (within the past year) sent a dispute letter to Experian, and if so, what is the address?

  • I sent a dispute letter to Experian a few days ago, and it was returned to me. I used an address in Allen, Texas, what the letter was returned to me by the post office. Seems like getting the current address to mail disputes to Experian is hard to come by. Has anyone very recently successfully been able to mail a dispute letter to Experian and received a response? And if so, can you please provide me with the mailing address you used? I can't find it anywhere!! Thanks a lot.

  • Answer:

You can dispute it on line. http://www.experian.com/disputes/ You need a current copy of your Experian personal credit report that includes a report number on top of the report (near your name).

Other answers

Though you may have to search for it their website should have the addy.

They change their dispute address all the time--most likely it's still in Texas, but with a different PO Box number. Some people have had success by sending disputes to their corporate address. You can call them, be prepared to spend a great deal of time on hold and explaining exactly what you want and why you are entitled to it. If that doesn't work, try creditboards.com, those people dispute all the time.

Their website has that information.
