Can a visa be used instead of paypal.?

I was shopping online & said that i had to pay with a paypal card but i have a visa? can i use that or do i HAVE to have a paypal?

If they only accept paypal, then you have to use paypal. I am not really sure why you would want to use your visa without paypal - paypal adds protection. I mean, ANYONE can get a merchant's account, you have absolutely no idea who is on the other side of that web page. If you dont have one, go get paypal. You can still use the same visa, it just puts your information behind a wall so the store doesnt see it.

What they are asking you for is to pay THROUGH a PayPal account that you have registered. You would need to contact the seller and see if they would take your Visa card directly. I am guessing they won't and will ask you to go make a PayPal account, and attach your Visa to it to make the payment. The only other way around this if you do not want to get a PayPal account is, have the seller send you a request for money or invoice to your email. You would then have a link you could follow in that email to go enter your Visa card # and pay the seller.
