Paying with a debit card through paypal on ebay?

• Is there a way you can use a debit card (not the one connected to your pay pal account) to pay for an ebay purchase? I've done it before on normal stores websites, but I didn't remember seeing the option to use an additional debit/credit card that isn't connected to a paypal account. I don't have money in my paypal account and I can't use the bank account that is on it now because it's my own account from when before I was married, so there is no money in it. I can't hook up mine and my husband's bank account to my paypal either.

  Paypal are almost a law unto themselves. Possibly the only international bank/not quite bank that is almost impossible to contact or ask questions of! Some countries only have the option of using debit cards (they have less legal protection than credit cards). Try and add the debit card as a Paypal funding source to your Paypal account is about all I can suggest. You can use multiple funding sources for your Paypal account, including direct bank account details (in the UK at least). There's also nothing to stop you setting up a new Paypal account with a different funding source and using it to pay for eBay auctions. I have to do that frequently at work as we dispose of secure equipment and buy stuff to keep public spending down and both govt finance and Paypal communication seem to be immovable objects!
