Is there a way I can quickly remove a bloodshot?

Is there any way i can remove a default from my credit report?

  • Hi I have been defaulted in 2010 for A amount 45 pound by O2 and I did not know about that because I was not in UK more then two years from 7/2009 to 1/2011. Before I left I gave 50 pound to a friend of mine and ask him if he can pay my bill but he didn't!!!!!! Now when I came back I found this on my credit report. Is there any way that I can remove this default from my credit report? Please any help will be appreciated. Thanks Ashir

It is an amount of money that you owed somebody that was not paid, so it is a bad debt. I would start by contacting O2 and say that you are very sorry, you thought you had it covered but did not check up on it, then pay it off. You can contact the credit rating companies and try to get them to remove it, but the amount is small so it should not cause a major problem. We all have a few minor issues when we are growing up!

The default cannot be removed from your report for the reason in your question, however if the debt is paid O2 is obliged to mark it as 'satisfied' on your credit report, which is a start.
