How do I change my password without changing my page?

Changing Password on Paypal - Asked to confirm credit card?

• I tried to change my password yesterday on paypal and it asked to confirm my credit card number before the changing. I thought it was strange, once I was logged. So, I logged out and clicked on the main page in "Problem with login" and after "I don't know my password". I inserted my email and after I confirmed my secret questions. So, an email was sent to me for define a new password without credit card confirmation and I did. My question is: Is normal to ask credit card confirmation if I'm logged ? Why by password email changing I dont need to confirm my credit card? I was concern that it was a trojan asking my credit card. Something like that happened with someone ? Tks!

  PayPal does ask for your credit card number when you change your password to authenticate it is you trying to change your password.
