What can i do to start my credit?

What card can i get to start building credit?

  • i'm hitting seriously blocks with having "lack of credit" aka none. i tried to get a sears,and victoria's secret card and neither worked. anyone know a card/store i can apply for?

    Do you have a bank account? Ask someone at your bank to help you. It helps if you have a history of saving consistently. And, I have to say, not having a credit card isn't all bad. At least, if you pay cash or check you won't get in over your head. When you do get a card, make sure you pay what you put on it within three weeks. They will give you a number so you can call and keep track. Keep the mailing address written where you can find it. I pay on my card every two weeks.That way you won't have to pay interest. Be careful. Credit card companies love it when customers get in over their heads.

Just make sure you are ready to own a credit card, pay it on time and pay more than the minimum.
